Relationship unit [Kindergarten]

Focus on friendship as one of the most precious and valuable kinds of relationships: 

Make a mini book of your friend (not of yourself - emphasized a couple of times throughout the instructions) with his/her favorite food and toy (not of your favorite food or toy).

At the age of 4 children are very much self-centered. Activities, aimed at exploring other people and demonstrating diversity can help them slowly learn to de-center.

"Can you tell what good friends do together?" Give children pictures of themselves, engaging in different activities and ask them to stick them on the paper. "Can you identify and name what good friends are doing together?" Good frineds: sleep together, eat together, play together, travel together, swim together, read together, color together; clean together

Hang the papers on the wall and refer to the pictures whenever the kids cannot remember the word corresponding to the activity.
